　　Ayse/Eleni who is a member of a Greek family in Turkey is forced to immigrate from Trabzon to Mersin in her early ages. However, the events that happen cause her to face her own past.

　　1927年春，第一次国共合作失败，国民党反动派在广州 大肆搜捕共产党员。一时间，广州城血雨腥风，大批共产 党员在国民党警察局全城展开的屠杀中英勇牺牲。此时， 35岁的杨殷秘密活动在广州城。杨殷是孙中山先生的邻 居。杨殷早年受中山先生影响参加民主革命，做过中山总 理的副官、广州海关师爷、洪帮老大，也是省港大罢工的 骨干。 11月26日，中共广州省委召开紧急会议，决定贯 彻8月7日中共中央武汉会议精神，于12月12日发动广州 武装起义。为转移起义枪支，负责起义情报收集联络的杨 殷在火车站与国民党警察局遭遇。一阵短兵交火，杨殷成 功脱身，将一批新到的“汉阳造”转移至安全的地方。共产 党为发动起义做全面准备，国民党政府广州工会委员李德 轩受南京方面委派，全城搜缴枪支，洪帮老大黄天龙看家 护院的几只鸟枪也被没收。在藏匿和转移枪支的过程中， 杨殷与阿丙、金一福保持单线联系。阿丙秘密藏匿枪支的 地方，只有阿丙、杨殷、金一福三个人知道。在第二次约 定见面的教堂，阿丙非但没有准时出现，杨殷和金一福的 行踪还被国民党侦缉总队区雄队长的人发现。杨殷和金一 福再次脱身。在阿丙藏匿枪支的地方，枪是一只没找到， 却发现遇害的阿丙。阿丙遇害，杨殷感觉内部出了叛徒。 杨殷急于寻找枪支，也急于查出谁是叛徒。杨殷面见洪帮 老大黄天龙。在革命大义面前，黄天龙答应交出意外起获 的枪支，条件是杨殷也不能亏待了洪帮兄弟。杨殷变卖所 有家产，前来向黄天龙要枪，谁料洪帮兄弟遭侦缉队血 洗。杨殷回顾过往的一幕一幕，判断出叛徒就是金一福。 金一福咎由自取，很快落入杨殷之手。杨殷欲擒故纵，利 用金一福，彻底除掉区雄，得到洪帮的敬重。由于起义计 划暴露，广州省委决定将起义时间提前到12月11日凌晨 3：30。12月10日晚，李德轩接到南京方面的密电，前 往教导团宣布解散命令。李德轩哪里知道，教导团早已是 共产党的部队。起义部队集结待命，杨殷带领的工人赤卫 队正装待发。凌晨3：30，武装暴动开始，国际歌唱响全 城，中国第一个苏维埃城市政权诞生。

　　Salomé (1923), a silent film directed by Charles Bryant and starring Alla Nazimova, is a film adaptation of the Oscar Wilde play of the same name. The play itself is a loose retelling of the biblical story of King Herod and his execution of John the Baptist (here, as in Wilde's play, called Jokaanan) at the request of his stepdaughter, Salomé, whom he lusts after.　　Salomé is often called one of the first art films to be made in the U.S.[citation needed] The highly stylized costumes, exaggerated acting (even for the period), minimal sets, and absence of all but the most necessary props make for a screen image much more focused on atmosphere and on conveying a sense of the characters' individual heightened desires than on conventional plot development.　　Despite the film being only a little over an hour in length and having no real action to speak of, it cost over $350,000 to make. All the sets were constructed indoors to be able to have complete control over the lighting. The film was shot completely in black and white, matching the illustrations done by Aubrey Beardsley in the printed edition of Wilde's play. The costumes, designed by Natacha Rambova, used material only from Maison Lewis of Paris, such as the real silver lamé loincloths worn by the guards.　　No major studio would be associated with the film, and it was years after its completion before it was released, by a minor independent distributor. It was a complete failure at the time and marked the end of Nazimova's producing career.　　A longstanding rumor, which seems to have started while the film was still in production, suggests that its cast is comprised entirely of gay and bisexual actors in an homage to Oscar Wilde, as per star and producer Nazimova's demand. It is, of course, impossible to say, but one of the extras in Salomé reported that a number of the cast members—both featured and extras—were indeed gay, but not an unusual percentage of them, and certainly not all of them. What can be said is that Nazimova herself was a lesbian, the two guard characters (who, next to Salomé, have the most screen time) are at least played very stereotypically gay, and several of the female courtiers are men in drag.　　Salomé was screened in 1989 at the New York International Festival of Lesbian and Gay films and in 1990 at the New York Gay Experimental Film Festival.　　In 2000, the United States Library of Congress deemed the film "culturally significant" and selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry.

　　In fourteenth-century England, peasant girl Christine Carpenter is so attracted to a statue of the Virgin Mary that the local priest (who lusts after her) suggests she be walled up in the church as an anchoress, a holy woman with responsibility for blessing the villagers. But when the priest has Christine's mother tried as a witch, she digs herself out of her cell, a crime for which the punishment is death.

They start liking the sudden guest from nowhere for the beauty of the free existence. A policeman comes and the dreams of freedom vanish.　　A barrage balloon appears unexpectedly over a Bulgarian village. The startled villagers decide to knock it down with a fusillade. But the balloon flies off to the mountains. The villagers, armed to their teeth, set off after it. But they are not alone in this undertaking. There is another armed group that chases the 'wonder'. An argument whose property the balloon is breaks out between the two groups. It turns out that the balloon flew from Romania over the Danube River. In the turmoil following the argument, the balloon is destroyed. The police arrive and punish the villagers for meddling in other people's affairs.

　　Aston (Robert Shaw), a quiet, reserved man, lives alone in a top-floor cluttered room of a small abandoned house in a poor London district. He befriends and takes in Mac Davies (Donald Pleasence), an old derelict who has been fired from a menial job in a café. In time Aston offers him a job as caretaker of the house. Aston's brother, Mick (Alan Bates) - a taunting, quasi-sadist - harasses the derelict when his brother is away, countermanding his orders. Eventually Aston, himself irritated by the cantankerous old man, puts him out.

　　讲述了全国解放前夕，在江南的一个小村庄里，从前在地主李春堂家当丫环的春梅来找李春堂，她的丈夫几年前被抓了壮丁，音讯全无，现在乡公所又抓了她的小叔子，她不得已来求李春堂到乡所说说情。李春堂不仅不帮忙，还大发雷霆，把她赶出来。这是消息传来，春梅的丈夫被抓壮丁后投奔了新四军，现在是解放军的团长。于是，正在他们争吵不休的时候，解放军进村了。地主恶霸慌作一团，而春梅和乡亲们高高兴兴地去迎接解放军。

　　This is an interesting yet bizarre little tale of a fictional (as far as I know, anyway) experiment performed during the Stalin-controlled years in the USSR. The main character is changed from a woman into a man. This is part of a larger plan to change more women into men and have a stronger work-force/army, etc. It's a very in-depth character study of the main character, who tries to fit into a world that she (now 'he') doesn't really understand, especially since she's now a man ... Stalin dislikes the results of the experiments and has the scientist killed. The main character then goes off to live a life as a simple, unknown everyday Soviet, but is inexplicably drawn into larger and larger schemes (somewhat reminiscent of "Forrest Gump" in that way). (s)He has run-ins with different important characters, including his ex-boyfriend from his days of being a woman, as well as going on a demented quest for the nurse with whom he possibly fell in love after the operation... However, he is trapped in his life as an important Soviet married man, and in the end makes a huge sacrifice for his country (unwillingly), and the movie goes from there to an ending that is possibly happy, yet still somehow incredibly depressing.
